The 29-year-old, who has become Moyes’ sixth summer signing, said he chose the no. 18 shirt because it was worn by his Heroes Rooney and Paul Gascoigne during her time in Everton.
Grialish said: “There is a reason. There were other numbers, but my two favorite players of English players are Wayne Rooney and Paul Gascoigne and I know that they both wore no. 18.
“So, as soon as I knew that this deal was close, I had a look and number 18 was free, so it was perfect for me and it was the only number I wanted to take away from this point. I talked to Wayne before I came here, and I mentioned this about No. 18 – so I hope that he is also happy.”
The former captain of Aston Villa said it was a simple decision to choose Everton after he was excessive from City, who left him out of her squad for the World Cup.

He said: “I think we get him at a good time because he has experienced, he understands the Premier League, and we are all aware of the levels for which he is able.
“I know that Jack’s ambition is to return to the English squad so that we can hopefully help him achieve this during the season.
